Talented Queensland local cellist Milo Duval will be our soloist at our first Concert for 2026 "Romance and Fate", 2pm Sunday 29th March at The Events Centre Caloundra. Milo has quite the CV and we look forward to showcasing his talent to a new audience on the Sunshine Coast! He's currently a student of Hyung Suk Bae and Gyorgi Deri at the Queensland Conservatorium, but is already a celebrated solo performer with success at the 2024/25 London International Music Competition

Announcing our new orchestra leader - Melissa Buddle.
In a lovely full circle moment for our orchestra, our new Orchestra Leader Melissa Buddle, was inspired to pursue a career in violin performance through her early lessons with our retiring Orchestra Leader Genevieve Bignell. At our first concert for 2026, "Romance and Fate", Sunshine Coast cellist Julia Janiszewski will be our soloist for Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo theme for cello and orchestra. Julia is an immensely talented freelance cellist who has been a member of SCSO since 2008 . She studied at the Canberra school of music, Sydney Conservatorium, and Queensland Conservatorium.
