Nelson Oakley has been with Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra for the past 8 years and many of you will have enjoyed his beautiful playing as our principal trumpet.
He's also transformed our orchestra management processes over the past 5 years, and we now enjoy professional stage management, player management, and seamless transport of our heavy equipment to events.
Sadly, for us, Nelson is moving to Melbourne to be closer to the grandkids (and Essendon football club) and our upcoming concert "Summer Serenades" will be his final concert with SCSO.
To mark the occasion Nelson will perform an adaptation of Gershwin's "Summertime" for solo trumpet backed by our full orchestra. It's going to be something to remember.
Grab your tickets now for "Summer Serenades" at The Events Centre Caloundra, November 15th at 7pm.
