"Best costume at an orchestral concert"? Win two double passes to the SCSO concert of your choice in 2027.
It's a modern tradition for orchestras around the world to dress as their favourite characters when performing a program of movie and musical hits, and we're bringing this back for our 2026 Season Finale "Stage and Screen Spectacular".
Come dressed as your favourite movie character and we'll choose the winner for "best costume at an orchestral performance" at the interval. The lucky winner gets 2 double passes to a 2027 SCSO concert of their choice, and a statuette made from a descant recorder spray painted gold. Extra points will be awarded for costume creativity and whimsy!
We're playing the whole "Star Wars suite", as well as music from Jurassic Park, Lord of the Rings, My neighbour Totoro, and Game of Thrones. Singer Renee Suttie will join us again on stage for songs from Titanic, The Bodyguard, Skyfall, Les Misérables, and the duet "For Good" from Wicked with our doubly talented principal trumpet player Kate Leiper.
Something for everyone! The Events Centre has pre-show dining available, so get together with your family and friends for a great night out together and make some memories. Don't forget your costumes!
