Soprano Fran Wilson has enjoyed singing all her life. Prior to coming to the Sunshine Coast from Canberra in 2011, she sang in choirs and a cappella vocal groups in Canberra and Melbourne, and performed in theatre and opera.
Fran has attained the AMEB level of Associate of Music in Singing.
Her opera roles include Mercedes from Bizet’s Carmen, Lucy Lockit from Gay’s The Beggars Opera and understudy to Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart.
Fran has performed the soprano solos in Mozart’s Vespers with Noosa Chorale, and Saint-Saen’s Christmas Oratorio with Sunshine Coast Choral Society, under the baton of Adrian King.
She performs with mezzo soprano Debra Schneider, and pianist Pamela Turnbull, as part of a musical ensemble called Artistri, performing a wide musical repertoire - lieder, opera, sacred, and popular works.
